Fruit Decor, Wreaths and More

Fill Clear Cylindrical Vessels with Distilled Water and Lemons

Cylindrical vessels are quite versatile when it comes to decorating. They can be filled with just about anything, and they can be used to beautifully decorate a table, a freestanding piece of furniture or a kitchen countertop. Consider filling three clear glass vessels of varying heights with fresh lemons. Add distilled water, and top the containers with fresh daisy blooms, carnations, roses or other white showy flowers. The display will look exceptionally clean, bright and refreshing.

Create an Easy Lemon Slice Wreath

A lemon wreath is a unique and gorgeous addition to just about any kitchen, and it is very easy to make. Slice fresh lemons into quarter-inch slices, and dry them in a food dehydrator or in an oven at 150 degrees for 3 to 4 hours, or until they are completely dry. Allow the slices to cool on wire racks, and attach them to a foam wreath using pins with yellow plastic heads. Overlap the slices to completely cover the wreath. Attach a fabric ribbon to the back, and hang it on a kitchen wall or over a doorway. If the lemon slices are fully dry, the wreath will last indefinitely.

Fill a Lantern with Lemons and Faux White Carnations

Decorative lanterns are some of the latest and greatest accessories for decorating a home. People usually fill them with candles, but they can be used to contain just about any decorative item. When decorating a kitchen with vibrant citrus fruit, fill a large decorative lantern with fresh shiny lemons. Alter them with faux white carnations or other white blooms. If desired, place a tall battery-operated pillar candle with a built-in timer in the center. It will softly illuminate the contents of the lantern in a stylish and unique way. Use it as a kitchen table centerpiece, countertop decor or a hanging work of interesting art. No matter where it is placed, it will look fantastic.
